Stay Strong

I made a card hoping to encourage someone going through cancer...
I used one of  the Simon Says Stamp dies, Stay Strong, with a red and a black paint chip(red is a color of strength...you could also put pink in place of the red).  I die cut the sentiments on the white panel by adhering a die cut "s" five times down left side of the card panel.  I DID use a square ruler to line up the "s"s in a straight line on the panel.  I put the Stay Strong die OVER each "s", making certain the die was straight, then die cut each "stay strong".  I adhered the die cut panel to a white card, adhered all the sentiment pieces from the "a, o and g" onto the card, and then added the black and red sentiments.  Here's a close up...
Stay strong...everyone!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Throw Back Thursday Cards...

I was asked to make some thinking of you, get well and sympathy cards for my daughter's fiance.  Trying to get them made as fast as possible challenged my creativity a bit,  so I searched my Blog to find a few cards that I liked that I could tweek to fit these occasions, and make semi quickly.  Below are two of my first attempts, throw backs to a year ago...
Here's the original, the post HERE...
I flipped the die, as the sentiment fit so perfectly this way.  I used paint chips on this one as I did with the first, except this time in blues, the sentiment is from Hero Arts.  Here's a close up...

The second card was a thought for the recipient and his texting...
Here's the original and the post is HERE ...
I stamped the texts then cut out, stamped the heart and smiley face, die cut, then colored with markers.  I used a rectangular die and some striped patterned paper to add some texture and color to the texts.  Here's a close up...
Sometimes it's fun to use the same stamps and dies a similar but slightly different way to be able to spread some quick love!  Tomorrow an original from this group...Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Piece of My Heart Shaker

I had such fun making a very clean and simple card using one of the new stamps from Simon Says Stamp's most recent release...Rainbows Rock!!...
I actually loved this stamp, but wanted to distinguish the beginning of the sentiment and the end, so opted to use a rainbow theme to help with that...pink the beginning, and purple the end.  It was CRUCIAL to use my wonderful MISTI to assist with this, as I used scotch tape to mask, and keeping the sentiment and paper in the very same place each time I stamped a different color...it was SOOOOOO EASY!!!!   I will admit, though, I had to scour all my heart dies, and found the Simon Large Heart dies in my "collection" the largest of them fit PERFECTLY for the cut out.  Here's a pic with their sleeve, the die that was used is outside the sleeve, so you can see and have the name as they are no longer available...
If anyone makes a shaker card with this stamp, and you don't have this die, and use another, maybe you could me know what other die works...I have LOTS of heart dies, but this was the only one I had that fit this stamp!
I used the heart dies from the Simon Says Stamp Heart Wreath(no longer available, but it cuts 9 hearts at a time) to fill my shaker, but I have put the Holiday Shapes dies at the bottom of the post as they would work, as well, making different sizes...just would take more time.  I swiped a little of each of the colored inks used on the sentiment heart stamp onto cardstock and then die cut from the swipes so the die cut hearts would match the sentiment stamp.  Here's a close up...

This was really a lot of fun...simple in it's design...not hard,  a little bit of work masking, cleaning and  stamping the heart, but such fun!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

I Thank the Stars...

I made a card to share with you today using the My Favorite Things Stars Above stamps and die:)!  What fun, the only challenge was in deciding what color markers to use to color these fun designed stars...
I used the 3 middle sized star stamps and dies for the stars, and the 3 largest star dies for the die cuts on the card panel.  I colored the stars with markers...what is so much fun...the color combos are ENDLESS!!  I thought...hmmm...stars... so I used my Wink of Stella glitter brush  marker and gave the stars a little "shine".  Here's a close up...
Aaahhh...fun!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Thinking of You Circle Leaves

I used the Simon Says Stamp Circle Leaves die to make a card...
This die is SOOOOO pretty!!  I die cut the die on white cardstock and used eclipse tape in pieces all around the circle, and then sponged the green ink onto the leaves, so they where the only thing colored on the white panel.  I used my cutting board and trimmed the circle, so the circle was open and the panel was much thinner.  I added a sentiment from the Simon Hydrangea Blooms stamp set, some enamel dots and popped up on black card.  Here's a close up...

Simon Says Stamp Hey Love Blog Hop!

Simon Says Stamp recently came out with a new release, HEY LOVE, that is FILLED with lots of amazing and beautiful new stamps and dies, celebrating love... I am so in LOVE with this release!!!  Today, Simon is celebrating this release with a fun blog hop...just in time for the season of love, Valentine's Day, but HEY...LOVE is for EVERY DAY, right???!!!  Hope you will join me and the other wonderful artists in this hop,  finding some "lovely" inspiration as you hop along with us:):)!
I made a couple cards that celebrate love in everyday ways!
My first card uses  a couple of the new dies and some distress inks ...
I used the die, Hearts Alive, and the new sentiment die, Love.  I die cut the Hearts Alive right side up and upside down on a full card panel.  I added one more die cut layer to each of the die cuts,BENEATH the panel...love a little depth,  and adhered a distress ink watercolored panel behind the hearts.   Added the layered sentiment (3X) and a few enamel dots.  You could use this card for all kinds of occasions with different sentiments on the inside...Love...on your birthday, on your wedding, just because, Love...and Hugs, you always, on Valentine's Day!!  Here's a close up...

The second card I made used the very versatile new die, Clipping Heart, and a number of the sentiments from the new All My Love stamp set ...
I die cut the hearts three times and layered.  I used a variety of paint chips to fill the hearts.  I stamped the sentiments on a die cut stitched rectangular panel and adhered the hearts to the panel.  Here's a close up...
OK...SO...MUCH...FUN!!!  Love is truly for every day...for every occasion!!
NOW...the fun for you all!!  Simon is generously giving a $25 gift card at each stop on the hop!!  Simply leave a comment for a chance to win.  Winners will be chosen from the comments on each blog and announced on the Simon Blog on Monday!!!  The line up for today's hop is full of amazing artists and inspiration, happy hopping!!...
