Merry Christmas!

I want to take this day to thank you all for your love this last year...I am humbled and so appreciative of all your support... your comments, emails, and notes of encouragement...it has meant so very much to me!!  I can't wait to  see what 2017 has in store!!
I hope you all enjoy this Christmas...no matter where life finds you.  We all have reason for joy and things to be thankful for.  While taking Noah to his doctor's appointment on Wednesday, I was having difficulty getting my 6'1" boy, in his wheelchair, into the office door.  I had a very kind older woman help open the door and kept it open while I brought him in.  I brought him in so that he wasn't facing the waiting room tv(which had one of his favorite TV shows on), so I kindly explained to the woman, and it seemed her daughter(my age) and disabled son, that I needed to turn my son around in front of them, but he is so long, and even with a brand new wheelchair(which he got a couple weeks ago), it is difficult to maneuver him.  The mother of the grown disabled son said, "I know just what you mean!" She spoke so kindly!  Her son's name was called shortly after that, and the mother proceeded to lift her grown son, put him over her shoulder, and then CARRIED him into his appointment.  I cry as I write this.  I'm not going to lie...life can be challenging.  BUT, I am so thankful...thankful for a wheelchair... thankful that I don't have to carry my disabled son over my shoulder and back.  If life is wonderful, wonderful!  But... no matter whether how challenging or wonderful life can be, try to find joy and be merry.  If ever there was a holiday for it, this is it!!  I am thankful for Jesus and all the joy and hope and merry that He gives me in my life, no matter what this world throws at me!!  Happy Birthday, Jesus, and again, Merry Christmas to you all!!!!
Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Love You to Pieces

My sister left for home last night😞...I headed to my craft room to make a card.   I used a brand new die from Simon Says Stamp, Hearts Align and a new set of stamps, All My Love, along with some paint chips to make a card with a bit of play on words...
This sweet new die is made up of a border of hearts which each contain three hearts within each heart...heart pieces.  I thought the "LOVE you to pieces" sentiment went perfectly with all the heart "pieces" on the card.  I used five paint chips, each with three shades of the same color on them.  The darkest shade is in the middle heart of each heart, the lightest being the biggest heart.  I added three enamel dots for some whimsey.  Here's a close up...
Oh, how I am LOVING this new release...MORE to follow!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Mingled Hearts Love You

Simon Says Stamp just came out with a new release today, Hey Love!  My sister has been visiting the last few days, but I just HAD to make a quick card this morning to help celebrate this AMAZING new release!!...
I used the beautiful new Hearts Mingle die along with part of a sweet sentiment stamp from the new Love and Quotes stamp set.  I layered the hearts and filled with a textured red and pink cardstocks.  I popped up the heart filled panel on a gold striped card, by using the Simon Diagonal Stripes background stamp with versamark and gold embossing powder, turning the stamp straight and not on the diagonal when I stamped it.  Here's a close up...
I LOVE this new release...more to follow after Sunday(when my sister goes home).  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Missing You

I am LOVING these new sentiment dies from the new Simon Says Stamp Diecember® release!!  Today, I am using one of the new Missing You dies...
I combined the "missing you" sentiment (I so love the font of this sentiment) with the sweet little Lila from Simon's Lila's Heart stamp/die set and a heart from the Simon Holiday Shapes die set.  I layered the sentiment and heart a few times.  I  paper pieced Lila's dress, and colored her hair and skin with markers and layered her.  I did stamp a grid background with versamark and clear embossed for some added interest.  Here's a close up...
Oh the fun...ahhhh...such happiness!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Simon Says Stamp Diecember® Blog Hop!

To say I LOVE dies would be an understatement, but I REALLY LOVE dies!!!  Simon Says Stamp creates REALLY amazing dies!!  Simon has one release every year that is devoted to dies, DieCember®,  so you've got to know that it is one release I am especially excited about!!!  Today, Simon is celebrating this new release with a Blog Hop jam packed with a whole bunch of amazing artists!!   I am so thrilled to have been invited to be a part, and to share a couple cards I made today with just a couple of these amazing brand new dies!!!
I used the beautiful new Corbel Border and the Handlettered Greetings dies on both cards...just making them using different sentiments, color schemes and materials.    I used two different colored green cardstocks on this first one.  There is a white layer underneath to bring out white dots in between the colored "leaves" of this color schemed corbel border die.  I used a white embossed strip underneath the two kraft layers(for depth) for those white dots...

... I adhered adhesive to the embossed strip, adhered the strip to the kraft layers, and then deposited the different colors into each particular kraft opening, like a puzzle:)!!  I layered the die cut sentiment and adhered the whole panel onto a white card.  Here's a close up...
The second card is using the same Corbel die with a different sentiment, using a rainbow color scheme and paint chips!!...
This one, I used a black strip underneath all the color, to have black dots show through, instead of white!  Here's a close up...
OK...that was so much fun!!  The corbel border is SO pretty, and SO much fun to fill in with color and the sentiments are SO PERFECT with the border!!
And now, the fun part for you all!   Simon is giving you a chance to win a $25 gift certificate on my blog and on every blog stop...just leave a comment by Sunday:)!!  The winners will be announced on the Simon Says Stamp Blog!  Here's a list of all the other amazing artists that are in this fun hop...
Hope you will have fun checking out this new release and all the creative ways to use the amazing dies this Diecember and all the months to come:):):)!!! I've listed the dies I've used on my cards along with all the dies from this wonderful release below!!  Yay!!   Happy Hopping!! Hugs!! Lisa
