Target Inspired Baby Card

I got some things for a baby shower next week and wanted to make a card that went with the gifts.  Heres my card and the inspiration... the sheets and blanket I purchased ...
Two sets of sheets and a chevron striped blanket...

I used a stamp and matching die set from Hero Arts...LOVE this die...you stamp the image, put the die OVER the stamped image and die cut...WONDERFUL!!  One thing I never say, but should when I use white embossing powder, I ALWAYS use a static bag or powder...makes for a clean stamped image:)...I've linked to two of them I use at the bottom of this post!!  The chevrons are from a Papertrey Ink die.
Just a reminder...tomorrow starts the STAMPtember® festivities over at Simon Says Stamp...hope you join the FUN!!!!  The official kickoff starts tomorrow at the Simon Says Stamp Blog...see you there:)!!

Less is More 134...Washi

The challenge this week at Less is More is to use washi tape!  I went "Christmas" with some Christmas colors when choosing washi from my HUGE stash...LOL..., a die from Papertrey Ink and made a third card with the same tape and some W Plus 9 Designs dies...
I tore strips of washi , put them on panel, die cut the word "merry" and put black piece behind and popped up panel on card.

I used the die cut from the first, layered, and added a Papertrey Ink sentiment with a red rhinestone.
EDITED**  Thank you SO much, Chrissie and Jen for Showcasing my "merry & bright" card this week...I am honored and sooooooo thrilled to have your recognition!!!

The third one I put the washi over an entire panel and die cut the W Plus 9 Designs dies...only thing is my "joy" was crooked...so ditched the whole panel idea,  and used the cut outs with some buttons, embroidery floss and an impression plate from Papertrey Ink for the background (I had to run the paper through on the die SIDEWAYS and CROOKED... from both sides... to match the angle of the words...the angle not only didn't go in this direction on the die, but also not at this angle...and thought it looked funny if the angles didn't match...hope that makes sense).  Here's the original panel...

Super easy and simple:)!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Just a Love Note

TheCue Card this week at CASology is PAPER...
I thought of die cut flowers from newspaper, then tried making a flower with some paper twine I got on sale at Target the other day...neither seemed "right" for the challenge.  THEN...I remembered that I had purchased a notebook paper stamp from Verve a long time ago...had to go searching my craft room 3 times over before I realized I had already put it in a jewel case and labeled it...go figure...I amaze myself at my organization sometimes...just wish I had the memory to match:)!!  SO...I made my notebook paper, and couldn't figure what to do with it.  Tried it on a white card, red card, then with strips of paper, oh my...nothing seemed just right, but it popped on a black card, although, by itself...it just seemed a little lost!  I love white space(in this case black), but the one piece of notebook paper looked too lonely. You know what they say about 3's...so I thought to make a couple other pieces of notebook paper, left them blank,  and put them behind the main piece.  This is what I finally settled on...oh my the process of card making, sometimes:)!!...
I started by stamping the heart on a piece of white paper.  I then made a mask and covered the heart and stamped the notebook paper over the masked heart.  I then masked the sentiment from the Simon Says Stamp set of the same name, and stamped the "JUST A NOTE" in black and then the "love" in pale tomato like the heart, clear embossing both.  I cut out the notebook paper and punched the holes out with a tiny hole punch.  Popped up just the main paper, the other two are simply adhered to the card.  Here's a close up of the heart and sentiment...

Love You to the Core

I used my new Papertrey Ink stamp set and coordinating dies, Apple Prints ...
Edited...retook the pictures with better light
I die cut the apple shapes, stamped with a Cover the Card on the red and green papers, and layered with pop up dots.  The tiny heart is the smallest one I could die cut, from a Simon Says Stamp die, Falling Hearts.  Here's a close up of the stamping and layering...
I dotted the heart and apple seeds with Glossy Accents.  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Birthday Wishes

This was my first attempt at CAS(E) this Sketch 41...it just really didn't stick to the sketch...so just putting it up for the fun of it...
This is all Papertrey Ink, one die (Birthday Trio Die Collection) LOVE THESE DIES, the fonts are soooo cool!!... and 2 stamp sets (Wishes Come True stamp set and Wonderful Words: Birthday Mini Stamp Set ).  I layered the "BIRTHDAY" a couple times.  I used some teardrop rhinestones that I got on sale at Michaels a while ago...

I wanted some flames for my candles and the petals of the flowers were perfect...except they were green and pink.  I tried and it was successful, to color the green rhinestones with a Banana yellow sharpie marker and they became yellow:)!!  So cool when you can make things work for a project:)!!    Thanks for visiting me today!! Leftover Triangles Birthday Card

The card I had made yesterday for a Moxie Fab World challenge used triangles.  I had some die cut triangles leftover and thought, "I'll use up the triangles and make a die cut bordered card.  Only thing...when I used my triangle die to die cut a border...GREAT experiment (I took the 4 triangle die from Papertrey Ink, lined it up and die cut...then die cut 4 more next to the first 4 then the last 2, placing 3 of the triangles on the card, meaning one triangle got double die cut..but kept the die straight)...I thought it looked cool as a one layer, so I didn't cut the card into a cut down panel...I just adhered the triangles into the inside of the card...here are a variety of pics showing the card in different angles...
This is what the card looks like completely closed.  I used a birthday die cut from Papertrey Ink (layered),  as well as a cut apart sentiment from the Wonderful Words:Hello set.

This is the card sitting open.

This angle shows the bottom of the card, open to show the inside triangles.

This is a side view of the card as it is open.  OK...SUPER FUN!!
